For the last 2 years, I’ve been obsessed with the one-person billion-dollar company concept.
Not because I necessarily want to build one myself, but because I genuinely believe we’re getting closer than ever to making it possible.
So I started thinking about what a founder would actually need to build and run a company like that.
And for the last 12 months, I’ve been building a system around that idea.
Today, I’m giving a small group of founders access to it.
I believe we get the most out of our time when we’re creating.
For most founders, creating is the reason they started a company in the first place: building products, solving problems, talking to customers, moving ideas forward.
But as the company grows, more and more of their time gets pulled into repetitive work: answering emails, scheduling meetings, marketing, invoicing, follow-ups and everything else needed to keep the business running.
The irony is that the more successful the company becomes, the less time the founder gets to spend actually building.
The System I’m Building
12 months ago, I decided to see how much of that work could be handed over to AI, so founders could spend more of their time creating.
That’s when the idea for Forward Intelligence and Openrun was born:
Forward Intelligence would build AI systems for companies, to automate and scale their bottle necks.
Openrun is the platform on which the AI systems get built, and it works with a simple Trello style Kan Ban in which users can delegate tasks to the agent
What I’m Working on Delegating to My Agents
Replying and sending emails: agents can connect to Gmail, Outlook and Granola, so they have context from both my emails and my calls.
They also know my personal and company goals, which means I can simply tell my email agent, Emery, to reply to a specific email or reach out to a founder about something.
Access Calendar: agents can access my calendar, check my availability and use that context when replying or helping schedule meetings.
Invoices: Emery can create invoices and send them automatically to customers. (This is still a work in progress)
Tasks: agents can identify tasks from emails and conversations, organize them, and have them ready to be delegated to the right agent
Orchestrator+ Agent builder
for more complex tasks, you can use an agent that has access to your connected apps and workspace to coordinate work, build new agents and add new agent capabilities
Content: connect your agents to LinkedIn, X, Instagram or Substack to help create and publish posts and newsletters at scale

This is still a beta product. It’s built for early adopters who want to experiment, push the product, and help shape what it becomes.

The product is evolving fast. We’re improving, testing and redefining it every day based on how founders actually use it.
New agents. Whenever there’s an agent you need that doesn’t exist yet, you can request it directly inside Openrun. We’ll add the requests to the product roadmap and build them from there.
